ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our project about cultural heritage has been realized under the pretext of establishing the acquisition of entrepreneurship skills on a specifica area, but also with the purpose of widening the horizons from historical, socio-cultural geographical domains, not only in relation to our territory but especially in relation to other European identity “areas”. The students become the creators and the main actors of the intercultural dialogue: they operate in Europe as virtual tour guides who give advise to groups of visitors, who describe the place in which they live with the ability of engaging visitors.
AIMS
Ss experiment a different model of education in which they are the real innovators, learning cooperation and direct networking with other countries.
Ss improve the knowledge of the environment in which they live in all its aspects not in a passive way but in a position of learning by doing.
Ss acquire entrepreneurial skills, consolidate self knowledge and decision-making skills to make realistic choices and improve their competences to face real life. Ss combine the work of their school with that of others, develop the critical thinking in the analysis of other realities for a constructive comparison.
Ss acquire new and sophisticated multimedia and virtual laboratory technologies.
WORK PROCESS
Introducing the project (welcome and presentation of teachers and schools)
Decision making: video conference.
Implementation of the project: choosing web 2.0 and virtual tools
Virtual bureau: hiring tour guides.
Promotion of identities and territories, engaging visitors by expert tour guides prepared and organized for each step of the shared process.
Dissemination of the project and exibition of the products and results.
EXPECTED RESULTS
Release the school an innovative role in the promotion of an environmental culture oriented to a sustainable growth.
Ss will have to acquire awareness and attention towards their environment in all aspects exchanging knowledge, values, attitudes and experiences. In order to better identify the offers and the profitable use of human and financial resources, in the form of play and simulation, the “entrepreneurial idea”can be built, giving students the important role of taking decisions. Ss become the protagonists of the project while teachers only motivate and give advice. Ss break boundaries and work in a shared space to realize future products which are the result of common tastes, interests and expections.

Questo lavoro è stato il risultato di un laboratorio a classi aperte (I II III E – I II III F) in cui ognuno ha dato il suo contributo per raccontare la propria città e raccogliere materiali utili per il progetto eTwinning.
It is a padlet about Ascoli Piceno, our town. Students joined the padlet and added information about their town. Someone posted a video, some other a leaflet, some students described famous people born in Ascoli or a typical recipe. To sum up it is a padlet which talks about our town created from students to students.
